The Jewell and Carl F. Emswiller Interprofessional Symposium is an annual event that provides a forum for health professional students, educators, practitioners, researchers, and policy-makers who have the power to improve health and wellness for individual patients, communities, and populations through innovation in interprofessional practice.
IHPA is only interdisciplinary outreach groups on the MCV Campus at VCU. IHPA has representatives from the College of Health Professions, and Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work, and many other programs.
The Enhance Your Teaching workshops are based on the Stanford Faculty Development Center framework; an evidence-based, non-prescriptive behavioral approach to teaching and learning with a rich 40-year history of documented success. The model is applicable to all health professions and to those teaching in the classroom, small group settings, distance learning, or the clinical setting.
The Excellence in Interprofessionalism Awards recognize full-time graduating VCU students and full-time junior faculty who have demonstrated significant involvement and interest in promoting interprofessional activities.
